The Campsite has been owned and operated since 1967 by the Town of Waverly in St. Regis Falls, NY. In this brochure you will find the Rules and Regulations for its usage, a list of facilities available, and some of the attractions that are found nearby.In the Campsite you will find excellent Trout fishing, several miles of scenic trails, and a beautiful 150 ft. footbridge spanning across the St. Regis River below the waterfalls. At the entrance to the Campsite is the Town Museum with early lumbering, railroad, and farming artifacts from the area. Northern Pike, Bass, and Bullhead fishing are rated excellent above the dam and have excelled in recent years. A boat is recommended for still-water fishing or trolling above the dam.

Camping & General Rules of Behavior

  • Check out time is 11 am. Check in time is 1 pm.

  • Wireless Service is limited throughout most areas of the Campsite. Cell phone service is available through Cingular AT&T and Verizon.

  • In case of a Fire or an Emergency call 911 or the State Police at 911.


Please observe our Campsite safety rules:


The speed limit is 10 MPH. ATVs and motorized bikes are prohibited.
No one under age 18 years is allowed to camp without a parent or guardian.
Quiet Hours are 10 pm to 7 am.
Keep pets under responsible control (on a leash or in a carrier), are not to be left unattended or in any campsite facilities, and you must clean up after it.
No Wading or Swimming.
No unattended fireplaces or campfires & use only dead and down wood in fires.
No cutting or mutilating trees or shrubs, and no peeling of birch bark.
No cutting wood on fireplaces. Chainsaws are prohibited.
No defacing buildings or structures.
No firearms or fireworks are allowed in the campsite.
Do not feed, attract, remove, or harass animals, plants, etc.
A NY State Fishing License is required for anyone over age 16.
No picnickers are allowed in the camping area after 9 pm.
We reserve the right to cancel any reservation at our discretion.

Campsite and Reservation Information 

  • The Campsite and the Town of Waverly will not be held liable for the loss or damage of any personal property and possessions.

  • All people entering the Campsite must check in with the Recreation Attendant.

  • There is a 2-day minimum stay on weekends. For reservations, call 518-856-9820.

  • Payment for a RV Site is due within 7 days of making a reservation and the balance due is to be paid in full by April 1st. Each site is limited to 6 people, 2 vehicles, 1 tent or camper.

  • To reserve a Cabin or a Tent Site pre-payment of one-half of the total fee is to be received within 7 days from the date reservations are made, it is a non-refundable fee. The balance due is to be paid in full by April 1st.

  • Cabin renters must furnish their own linens, blankets, and cooking utensils.

  • Please mail a check or money order payable to: Town of Waverly, St. Regis Falls Scenic Campsite, PO Box 289, St. Regis Falls, NY 12980. Note in the check memo line the name of the Cabin or RV / Tent Site # and the reservation dates.

  • Town of Waverly Ordinances are posted in each cabin and at central locations throughout the campsite. Contact Chad Rivers, Town Supervisor at 518-521-0367, or 911 for emergencies at the Campsite.

 

Sites

RV & Trailer site rates per Season (a $200 deposit is required):

 

$750.00 without a Sewer connection.

$1,000 with a Sewer connection (On the road not beside the river, C24-C29).

$1,250 (Located beside the river, C1-C23).

There is a $150 Winter Storage Fee to leave your RV from September to April.

Campsites  

  • The following sites are $35.00/day; $185.00/week; $600.00/month:

  • C1 through C3: includes power and water.

  • C4 - C29: Lower camping area, Lower Meadow tenting sites, & RV and trailer sites located along the river, includes power, water, and sewer.

  • Tent Sites:  $20/day; $120/week; $450/month:

  • C1-C7, C34-C40, & C42.

  • Lean-to: $10 per night.

A Frame

A-Frame - Overlooks the Campsite Area.$65 Daily       $375 weekly     Accommodates 4:4 single bunk beds, a couch, fireplace, electric heat, electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, table and chairs, a ceiling fan, toilet, & a shower.

Old Guides - Overlooks the Picnic Area.

$65 Daily    $375 Weekly     Accommodates 4:4 single bunk beds, a couch, wood stove, electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, table and chairs, a ceiling fan, toilet, & a shower.
 

Fisherman

Fisherman - Overlooks the Picnic Area and Waterfalls.

$80 Daily     $450 Weekly     Accommodates 6:Two-story cabin w/ 3 bedrooms, a foldout couch, family room area with monitor heater, electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, picnic table, ceiling fan, shower, & a toilet.(Beds: Twin bunks, 1 Twin bed, 2 dbl. beds, 1 double sofa bed).

Hunters Home

Hunters Home - Overlooks the Picnic Area.

$65 Daily     $375 Weekly     Accommodates 4:4 single bunk beds, a couch, wood stove, gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, table and     chairs, ceiling fan, toilet, & shower.

Wilderness

Wilderness - Overlooks the River and Waterfalls.

$65 Daily     $375 Weekly     Accommodates 4:1 full size bunk bed, 1 double bed, electric heat, gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, table and chairs, ceiling fan, shower, toilet, and a back deck.
